I somras skrev kritikern Clive James en artikel till sågningarnas försvar. Han hävdade att amerikanska kritiker borde lära av britterna. Kritikern Lee Siegel nämner häromdagen James artikel i en egen text, i vilken han berättar att han aldrig mer ska skriva en negativ recension. Han hävdar att kritiken måste förändras i grunden. Ganska omgående publicerades artiklar av andra kritiker som snarare håller med James än Siegel. Vi citerar ur och länkar till artiklarna:

Vi tycker nog att Sigels artikel är lite weird och att sågningar fyller en viktigt funktion, även om man kan såga på ett mer eller mindre brittiskt sätt.
